The Sports Department develops content related to current sports news including both college and professional sports. Members of the department film at most home games and some away games for the major sports teams (Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer), and report on the performance of other UConn sports teams.

The UConn Huskies beat the UCLA Bruins 69-61 in Albany, New York Friday in an intense Sweet 16 matchup. Napheesa Collier led all scorers with 25 points, while Crystal Dangerfield had a huge fourth quarter, ending with 15 points.
UConn baseball beats former Big East Rival BC 3-1 in their 2nd game at J.O. Christian Field this season. They improve their record to 15-8, and will take on UCF this weekend down in Orlando. Michael Woodworth led the way with 2 hits, and Colby Dunlop went 5 strong innings for the Huskies!

The Huskies battled through a physical game to defeat the Buffalo Bulls in the Round of 32. Buffalo surged late and made UConn earn their victory. Napheesa Collier become the 3rd all-time leading scorer in UConn history. The team will next travel to Albany to compete in their 26th straight Sweet 16.
The UConn Baseball team has played their first 21 games of the season on the road, posting a 13-8 record. The Huskies finally return home Tuesday at 3PM to host Hartford, and then play again Wednesday against BC at 3, both at J.O. Christian Field.
