On Saturday, UConn Athletics unveiled the Werth Hall of Champions with the help of Ray Allen. He was joined by Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, as well as President Susan Herbst and AD David Benedict.
UConn honored the 1999 NCAA Men's Basketball Champions on Sunday at the XL Center. Rip Hamilton, Khalid El-Amin, Jake Voskuhl, Kevin Freeman, Souleymane Wane, Edmund Saunders, Rashamel Jones, E.J. Harrison, Beau Archibald, Richard Moore and Jim Calhoun were celebrated at halftime of the game against Cincinnati.
Playing in their first game after UConn's self imposed sanctions on the Men's Basketball program, the UConn Men's Basketball produced one of their best games of the season. Senior guard Jalen Adams led all scorers with a career high 31 points, and junior guard Christian Vital reached the 1,000 point milestone as he finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
